Lyla'a 3 year old interview

I think I took this around Halloween (because I see a skeleton in the background) so she was around 3 years 4 months. I'm going to post a link to YouTube, since I can't figure out any other way, and I apologize that you have to actually copy and paste the site, not sure why it won't take you there???

Ella's 6 year old interview

For the past 3 years I have interviewed the kids on (or close to) their birthdays and asked them the exact same questions, it's fun to see their answers change! Here is Ella's 6 year interview! Sorry, it's a little long!

These are some determined boys...

So the girls got a trampoline for Christmas and the boys (including Connor and Griffin, our neighbors) have had just as much fun on it, but they aren't allowed to all jump together. They were very secretive for a few days and kept saying they were working on something top secret...so this is what it was:

I don't know if this link will work...we'll see

Christmas 2013

So, I've apparently been on a blogging hiatus, which makes me really sad, because I LOVE going back over the past several years and reading all about the stuff you think you will never forget (but do!). So instead of overwhelming myself and trying to play catchup, I'm just going to start right now (and thank Facebook for existing so I can remember the year or so that I missed on here!), and I'm sure, in a few years down the road, I'll be thankful that I did!

Making cookies Christmas Eve!

Cousins :) Notice Lyla's face in the top pic, she was mad because she wasn't sitting next to baby Ryah (shocker!)

Just the girls :)

Some decorations (mainly so I can remember what goes where next year!)

So cozy

Santa came!

And they were all very excited about it!

The kids opening their "big" gift from me and Tripp, Jax got a phone, Cade got a really nice glove he's been eyeing for quite some time and the girls got a trampoline, we made a scavenger hunt for them so they could find it it he back of the van (mainly because it was too big and heavy to carry inside and wrap!) but they had a lot of fun finding it

The "aftermath"....we kept it pretty under control this year!

Playing with, checking out, and setting up all the new goodies

Cade and his stash

Jaxon and his loot

A very happy Ella

Lyla cleaned up!

My stuff, I guess I didn't take a picture of Tripp's stuff...and looking back through these pics, I apparently didn't take any pictures of him either, I promise he was there!

THEN we went to Woo and Gramps condo, so yes, the above pictures are even before we opened all the stuff they got us! (I need to remember to take a picture of the kids stuff ALL together next year)

They were shocked

Not pictured anywhere are 2 of my favorite gifts from Chip and Lynn, and that is custom rubber floor mats for my new van (YAY!!!) and a big, beautiful jewelry box/makeup holder for my bathroom that used to be Tripp's grandmothers, I LOVE it and will cherish it always!

This pic was taken in Columbia when we went to see Tripp's family a few weeks before Christmas, we had a great time and it was so wonderful to spend time with all of them!

Christmas with Grammy and Grandaddy!

The girls most favorite present, I can't keep them (or Tripp!) off of it!

We had a great New Year's Eve as well, we had our 2nd annual "neighborhood progressive dinner" and it was a ton of fun! I had to work at 4am on New Year's Day, so I hit the sack pretty early, but from what I hear they all had a blast bringing in the new year! I have been super motivated to clean up and get rid of stuff (to make room for the toy and sport stores that vomited in my house) and I've already hauled several huge boxes to good will. It was sad to see 2013 go, it was a great year, but I'm looking forward to seeing what 2014 has in store for everyone!!!

This letter came home yesterday with Cade in a sealed envelope addressed to "the parents of Cade Jones", it's from his social studies teacher, Mr. Harkness (who I always loved, but love even more now :)

I love this kid...
