It's a Princess Party!

Ella decided to have a princess party, and started planning it several months ago (and when I say SHE started planning it, I really meant SHE). She wanted to make crowns, wear her Cinderella dress and eat lots of cake, goldfish, grapes and baby oranges. With the encouragement of Kristin (and a few other friends I have who were making their kid's birthday cakes this year) I decided to make Ella's cake. It turned out pretty good, it tasted great, and for my first cake decorating experience, I think it turned out really cute. I had several people ask me where I ordered it from. Ella LOVED it, and several times throughout the party I caught her just sitting by the cake looking at it and petting the horse on top :) She loved making the crowns and decorating the jewelry boxes. When it was time to open presents she was soooo cute. She got this surprise look on her face every time she opened a present. I'm not sure what her favorite is, she has played with it all a ton. I hope she realizes one day how very lucky she is to be so loved by so many people. When we were laying in bed at the end of the night she looked at me and said "mommy, it was my princess party today" I asked her if she had a good time, she said "it was my perfect day"....that girl melts my heart :)

The cake :) I had to use tweezers (clean ones ;) to place each little pearl...it took a while! You can't see on the picture, but it had edible glitter all over it too.

Some party favors

Ella "petting" her new horsey

"yum!"

Making the crowns....I think it took until today for the glitter glue to dry!

Halle making her crown....she really just wanted stickers to put on it!

Putting her name on her jewelry box

She wasn't quite sure what to think about everyone singing happy birthday to her...at least she didn't hide under the table, which is what one of he boys did one year!

I wish I would have gotten a pic of the balloons on her chair, I had a dozen balloons and a cinderella balloon and a number 3 balloon, she decided to put the Cinderella one, the number 3 one and a purple one on her chair. After I tied them on she said "there, that looks perfect"

And just a few of those adorable surprise faces....

When She opened this hungry hungry hippo game she said "oh mommy, this was just the game I neeeeeded!"

"Ella the Elephant" books....she LOVES them and I have read them dozens of times already. I want to get her the whole series!

A 3 year old princess :)

Silly girl

Mom, I will have to get some pics of her playing with the doll house, which by the way she LOVES!
