That is the curse of being born in December...your birthday doesn't get "blogged about" until mid January!
I can't believe my little man is eight, he is such a sweet, funny, affectionate, smart, and funny little boy!
Some stats: he is close to 50 inches tall and weights almost 60 pounds (I think!) he wears a size 7 pants, medium shirt, and a size 2 shoe.
Some of his favorite things: basketball, baseball and football, so yes...anything sports related; and oddly enough, I can't really think of anything else! Right now it is basketball season so he dribbles a basketball almost every waking moment (that I'm not making him clean, read or do homework). And it shows; he is an AMAZING basketball player, he is point guard (I think...the guy who dribble the ball down from the other side??) and he can get around anyone by crossing them up or dribbling behind his back, or other crazy moves that most 8 year olds just haven't mastered yet. It's so much fun to watch him play (and he's playing up, so most of the kids are 9).
He is doing awesome in school, his teacher loves him and has nothing but wonderful things to say about him. He is on a 3rd grade reading level and his favorite books to read are biographies about sports "heroes".
He is very generous and sweet and loves his family so much. He loves to give people presents, especially things he has made. He is very aware of people's feelings and he always wants to make sure no one has their feelings hurt, I really love him for that :)
He is still a picky eater, though he has tried some new things recently, including oysters, that he has discovered he loves. His most favorite foods on earth are cheese sticks, oodles of noodles, waffles, strawberries, apples, pizza, and ANYTHING containing a crap ton of sugar ;) He definitely has a sweet tooth!
He is a joy (and sometimes pain ;) to raise and he keeps things interesting for sure! We love you so much Jaxy Waxy!!!!
We had Jaxy's birthday at the house, the boys played football, basketball and tag until it got dark, then we headed to the backyard to the fire.

When the kids sung happy birthday to him they all screamed at the top of their lungs..it was loud!
Jaxy requested a honey bun cake..it was delicious and there wasn't one piece left by the end of the night
Jax and his presents
I think he received 3 new basketballs, and every single one has been used so much that none of them have hardly any tread on them anymore!
Lyla and her "faces"...that girl cracks me up
That night Jaxon came running to me and gave me a huge hug and said "thank you so much, that was such an amazing party, it was the best night of my life!" Thank YOU Jaxon, for making EVERY day amazing, happy 8th Birthday dude!!!
