Randomness...

Once again, pics that I just don't want to forget about...

Thanksgiving...

Playing with Grandaddy...

Playing with Halle :)

They had made a "couch" out of Ella's comforter and were having a snack of cheddar bunnies

Ella, Lyla and Emmalyn (our neighbor), another great thing about the gymnastics mat, it's a couch :)

Sometimes before we leave to go somewhere Ella will say "you should take our picture, we look really cute today"....haha, nothing wrong with her confidence ;)

Lyla feeding her baby...

I bought a new table (a MUCH smaller one than what was in there) and was able to move the kitchen out of Ella's room, they are enjoying the playroom a lot more now!

Proof that the playroom was clean...once

The day of Ella's Christmas party at school, they made those shirts in class one day and all had to wear them to school for the party...

ROLL....TIDE....

No, not Alabama, the Wrightsville Tide :) Their season was over back in December and they went out with bang! They went 4-0 and won trophies AND rings (and that made for happy boys, especially Jaxon since the tournament fell on his birthday weekend and the trophies have his birthday on them). The last game, they were playing for the championship, they were down 3-1 the whole game. Finally, the last inning they got 2 runs, had a player on 3rd and were tied, Cade was up to bat and it he had 3 balls and 2 strikes (and I was a nervous wreck)! He hit it to short stop and barley made it to first, he was about a 1/2 a step before the ball made it there, the kid on 3rd ran home and his RBI won them the game! I wish I could have gotten the look on his face in a picture (but I was so nervous it didn't dawn on me to even have my camera out!). Tripp was first base coach and once Cade figured out he was safe and our guy made it home, he turned around and ran to hug Tripp, it was the sweetest moment to watch ever :)

The tournament director saws the girls playing around the whole time and after everything was over he asked if they wanted a trophy too, they were so excited to have trophies like the boys :)

A few more pics from another tournament in Florence back in November

I should send this pic to the pirate booty company :)

Goofball :)

Ella's first crush, Dean, it's okay now, not so much in 10 years...

Happy 8th Birthday Jaxy!!!

That is the curse of being born in December...your birthday doesn't get "blogged about" until mid January! I can't believe my little man is eight, he is such a sweet, funny, affectionate, smart, and funny little boy! Some stats: he is close to 50 inches tall and weights almost 60 pounds (I think!) he wears a size 7 pants, medium shirt, and a size 2 shoe. Some of his favorite things: basketball, baseball and football, so yes...anything sports related; and oddly enough, I can't really think of anything else! Right now it is basketball season so he dribbles a basketball almost every waking moment (that I'm not making him clean, read or do homework). And it shows; he is an AMAZING basketball player, he is point guard (I think...the guy who dribble the ball down from the other side??) and he can get around anyone by crossing them up or dribbling behind his back, or other crazy moves that most 8 year olds just haven't mastered yet. It's so much fun to watch him play (and he's playing up, so most of the kids are 9). He is doing awesome in school, his teacher loves him and has nothing but wonderful things to say about him. He is on a 3rd grade reading level and his favorite books to read are biographies about sports "heroes". He is very generous and sweet and loves his family so much. He loves to give people presents, especially things he has made. He is very aware of people's feelings and he always wants to make sure no one has their feelings hurt, I really love him for that :) He is still a picky eater, though he has tried some new things recently, including oysters, that he has discovered he loves. His most favorite foods on earth are cheese sticks, oodles of noodles, waffles, strawberries, apples, pizza, and ANYTHING containing a crap ton of sugar ;) He definitely has a sweet tooth! He is a joy (and sometimes pain ;) to raise and he keeps things interesting for sure! We love you so much Jaxy Waxy!!!! We had Jaxy's birthday at the house, the boys played football, basketball and tag until it got dark, then we headed to the backyard to the fire. Pre-football game

The snack table...all you need are a couple bags of chips and caprisuns to make happy kids!

Uncle Hunt and Lyla

Roasting marshmallows for s'mores

Yummy!

Cade and Drew

Ella was pretty grossed out by how "messy" the s'mores were...

Lyla, looking like she is ready for bed!

When the kids sung happy birthday to him they all screamed at the top of their lungs..it was loud!

Jaxy requested a honey bun cake..it was delicious and there wasn't one piece left by the end of the night

Jax and his presents

I think he received 3 new basketballs, and every single one has been used so much that none of them have hardly any tread on them anymore!

Lyla and her "faces"...that girl cracks me up

That night Jaxon came running to me and gave me a huge hug and said "thank you so much, that was such an amazing party, it was the best night of my life!" Thank YOU Jaxon, for making EVERY day amazing, happy 8th Birthday dude!!! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad
